PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATOR
Brie M. Reid, PhD
Dr. Reid is an Investigator funded by a K99/R00 Pathway to Independence Award from NICHD and an incoming assistant professor (Fall 2024) in the Center for Cognitive and Brain Health at Northeastern University with appointments in Psychology and Health Sciences. She has a background in design and environmental psychology (B.S. from Cornell University), global nutrition (interdisciplinary M.A. from Cornell University), developmental psychobiology (Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota’s Institute of Child Development), epidemiology (doctoral minor in epidemiology from University of Minnesota’s School of Public Health), and stress biology in pregnancy (Postdoc at Brown University’s STAR Initiative). When Brie isn’t in the lab, she goes for long walks, reads fluffy fiction, swims, or (most often) runs around outside with her partner, Alex, and their two small children, Sloane & Colin.

Lab Manager
Dr. Reid will be hiring a full time Lab Manager to join our lab community to start summer/fall 2024. This person will be working on an upcoming cohort study examining how prenatal stress and stress biology impact prenatal and newborn nutrient metabolism (focus on iron). More details to come!

Dr. Reid will be mentoring trainees in the Center for Cognitive and Brain Health at Northeastern University from doctoral training programs in Psychology and Health Sciences.
